It is one of the most basic things we do as Christians: care for the poor. Of course, it is bible based. In 2 Corinthians, Chapter 9, Verses 6-8, the apostle Paul writes “The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”
In worship leading up to the Harvest Festival at the end of October, you may notice non-perishable food items at the base of the altar. LET’S GROW THIS BOUNTY OF HARVEST TO A PYRAMID! And while we’re at it, personal care items are wanted, as well . . . #FeelGood
