We live in a state with a lot of rocks. (Disclaimer: I LOVE ROCKS!) So the message from Kimberly yesterday (the “other” Kimberly) and Ann resonated for me.

ICYMI, some scriptural highlights:
(Jesus) “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
(Peter) “Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:1-5.

Are you a “living stone”? It was symbolic, of course, the laying of stones with our names on them at the base of the altar. Now what?
Lots of questions: Who – or what – is your rock? Who are you a rock for? Where do you get your strength to be a rock?
The only real answers, friends, are in the bible. I encourage you to open it, read it, and spend time letting God open your heart to the possibilities for your life.

We have a “rock” here at Harmony set to enter the next chapter of her life. Please join us THIS SUNDAY 5/21 to celebrate the service of our own Kathi and to spend some time recharging your soul to be the rock God intended.

Make it a great week!
