As Christians, we are never lacking in our support for our fellow humans. There is an event tomorrow, Saturday, for the teacher originally from Fort Collins who passed away recently from cancer. You may have seen the touching story of his students at a private Presbyterian school serenading him:

Here is the information on tomorrow’s BENefit Walk:
We all have a little bit of Ben Ellis in our hearts and every one of our lives is better because Ben touched, inspired or moved us in some way. While Ben lived and taught in Nashville, he grew up in Fort Collins. Once a Lambkin, Always a Lambkin. So many of Ben’s friends and family here in Northern Colorado have expressed a desire to honor and celebrate Ben and provide support (emotional and financial) to his wife and five beautiful children that we are setting aside October 22nd as a day of celebrating Ben’s never faltering lead that we are so much more through unconditional love, compassion and forgiveness. This day of celebrating “Be Loving” includes a 5k Fun Walk in the morning and a friends/family celebration of Ben’s life in the afternoon. There are many opportunities to be involved – register to walk, volunteer to help before the event, during the event, or sponsor the walk.
The BENefit Walk will be held:
Date: October 22, 2016
Time: Registration opens at 7:30am, Walk begins at 9:00.
Place: Parkwood Clubhouse (1314 Buttonwood Drive, Fort Collins, CO), PARKING at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 2000 S. Lemay Avenue
Race Registration: Donations requested for Ben’s family. Participants will receive a shirt for a donation of $23.00 or more. Additional shirts for registered participants can be purchased for $15 ($23 for all others).
(The suggested donation refers to Psalm 23:6 — Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.)
All net proceeds will go toward supporting the financial needs both now and in the future of Ben’s family.
Registration is in-person starting at 7:30 am on BENefit day.
