It was a Maundy Thursday worship service to remember. Maundy, from the Latin “mandatum”, which means commandment. As in Christ’s words to the disciples: “I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another” (John 13:34).
Holy Week continues with a Good Friday service today at noon, immediately followed by a prayer vigil that goes until 10 p.m.
