In our last post we talked about our Palm Sunday tradition here at Harmony. On Thursday with the leadership of Pastor Gus and the help of folks too numerous to mention (but, THANK YOU - IT WAS AWESOME), we started what we hope will become a new tradition: the Maundy Thursday Dinner.

The word “Maundy” comes to us as an Anglo-French word derived from the Latin “mandatum,” which means “commandment.” It refers to when Jesus, in the Upper Room during the Last Supper, said to the disciples: “A new commandment I give you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” from John 13:34, RSV (William B. Bradshaw/Huffington Post/3-28-13).

Held in the Harmony “Lower Room”, we shared prayer, singing, and - of course - a simple meal with one another. Above all else, we are family, and we thank you Lord, for that. We’ll see you all tomorrow; HAPPY EASTER!
